Un-X News: UTAH US HOUSE CANDIDATE “GOES FULL UFO”

Live today at 5 pm Central time, or watch anytime!

Joseph G. Buchman (Joe), an Unaffiliated Candidate for US HOUSE in Utah’s CD2 Special Election, responding to claims of being a “tin-foil hat wearing nutcase” responds:

“The reactions to our recent texting campaign, calling for increased protection of witnesses and whistleblowers on the UFO/UAP/ET issue, have been extreme.  From, “YES! I have a friend with an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) who refuses to talk about UFOs” to “that’s crazy talk” and worse (most of those include profanity.”

Buchman’s campaign site, www.UtahJoe.vote focuses on the UFO/UAP issue, including demands for those with evidence contact with ETs or their technology be freed from any NDAs that illegally prohibit their ability to testify to Congress and the Media.

While this seems an extreme position for a candidate in CD2, Buchman is joined by current Senate majority leader Schumer and others.

According to Schumer,

“We are not only working to declassify what the government has previously learned about these phenomena but to create a pipeline for future research to be made public”.

Schumer is joined by a bipartisan group of Senators, including: Mike Rounds (R-SD), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Todd Young (R-IN) and Martin Heinrich (D-NM).

Buchman has raised this issue in two previous campaigns for the US House beginning with his first in 2008.  See:

He also raised it in Utah’s last special election in 2017 where he was the Libertarian Party’s nominee, as he was in 2008 and several other campaigns – most recently for Utah Treasurer.  In that campaign Buchman received 10 percent of the vote, from just under 100,000 Utahns.

Buchman holds a PhD from Indiana University and an MBA from Purdue University.  From 1993 to 2001 he was a member of the faculty of UVSC (now UVU) where he was a whistleblower on fraud in new degree program proposals.  Whistleblowing by Buchman on that issue resulted in a freeze on all new degree program proposals at that time.  Details can be found on his website under the Whistleblowing page at:

Buchman is also working with Congressman Curtis’s office to have the Boy Scout Memorial on the Washington Mall removed and/or replaced (that statue incredibly depicts a naked adult male directly behind a small uniformed Boy Scout).  Additional information is likewise available on the above page.

Despite not being the Libertarian Party candidate in this race (Buchman is running Unaffiliated), he has received endorsements from several prominent other libertarians, including multiple past LNC Chairs and former Executive Directors of the party.

Yesterday the campaign sent out over 50,000 text messages to targeted groups: Libertarians, Unaffiliateds, and those living near the Dugway Proving Grounds, and others.  Those text messages can be found below.

Buchman’s candidate statement in the Utah Voter Guide published by the Governor’s office can also be found below.

Buchman is also the author of the Forward to a book about the Roswell UFO Crash in which he describes his 2008 and 2017 Congressional runs. That Forward can be found here:

States Buchman: “I realize that what I have said in those texts, in the Voter Guide, in the Roswell book, and in past media interviews is “OUT THERE,” maybe even “way out there,” but as I said at the end of my first debate with now Congressman John Curtis (also included were Chris Herrod and Tanner Ainge) – “I believe what I have to say on this issue will be proven prescient.  I’m speaking to both current Utah voters, and my two granddaughters.  I believe they will live in a post-Disclosure world, and be proud of what their grandfather tried to do.”
