On July 26, 2026, a woman left her office at 23rd and Pearl Streets in Independence, Missouri at 8:30 pm, when to her surprise, she saw a large Bigfoot walking next to a house approximately 100 feet away. The witness stated that the creature was approximately eight feet in height, with broad shoulders and a sagittal crest. It was facing forward as it walked around the back of the house, so she did not get a good look at the face. “It was extremely muscular and massive in size,” said the witness, who described it as being an all-gray color. “It didn’t look old, but it was all gray with long hair or fur,” she said.
The
witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated that she turned left to drive
in front of the house where she saw the creature and watched for it to come out
the back side. After approximately ten minutes, she decided to drive on after the
Bigfoot did not reappear.
There
have been Bigfoot sightings several miles north and east of this location near
the Missouri River in Sugar Creek and Independence, Missouri, as well as in a
nearby conservation area, but to date, no Bigfoot sightings have been reported
to OZ Paranormal in this general suburban area. Sightings in towns are rare,
but they do occur.
